Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of paint do you use? And does it wash off?
We only use FDA compliant, non-toxic, skin safe, hypo-allergenic, Water-based make-up. In some special occassions where waterproof painting is necessary, alcohol based paint will be used. We primarily paint with Wolfe Brother's and Mehron body paints, applied with sponge, brush and airbrush. All paints wash off easily with soap and water.
want to get painted, but I have a some tattoos, will it work?
Take a peak at my gallery, Most of my models have tattoos. The makeup I use is very robust and has brilliant pigments. The paint has invredible coverage, leaving most people feeling fully clothed when painted head to toe. It goes right over your tattoos, birthmarks, stretch marks, scars etc.
I want to be body painted, what do I wear?
It is far more important that the you the model to be comfortable and enjoy the experience than anything else. However, with that being said, less is more in the body painting world. Let's face it, it's not turtle neck painting. There are times where it may be appropriate for articles of clothing to be worn and painted on such as some tradeshows, public attractions and events. Pasties for the nipples are provided free of charge if desired and underwear is typically worn for most body painting shoots. Any fabric that is being painted must be solid colour (no prints) and as close to matching the design as possible. Artificial fabrics seem to work the best (nylon, polyester, spandex, etc) and nude coloured is prefered over white and black.
I want to paint just like you, will you teach me?
Of course! I love to teach and hold regular workshops. I have a strong professional background as a trainer and would be honoured for the opportunity to teach you the techniques I use.
